Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Blockheaded husband and wife Ted (Christopher Stone) and Joyce Lujack (Belinda Montgomery), both of them unlucky gamblers, seem to be in a competition to see which spouse can get into more trouble with the underworld, and are at risk of being snuffed out when street-hardened NYPD Chief of Detectives Earl Eischied (Joe Don Baker) and his dedicated squad of detectives lend a helping hand.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Another office day for P.C. the cat, this time on a Sunday, when dour Chief Inspector Ed Parks (Eddie Egan) interrupts Eischied’s playtime with his feline friend. P.C. meows and crowds Parks as he accepts a drink from Eischied, who pulls the cat away, kissing him on his face, commenting sagely, “You’re on the wagon, remember?”

Parks asks what’s the matter with the restless P.C. and Eischied replies, “Nothing wrong with him. He just doesn’t like to stay home on Sundays when I’m not there.” Parks doubts that the cat knows it’s Sunday, and is corrected by Eischied, who responds, “Of course he knows it’s Sunday. Don’t you?”

Later that evening, Detective Alessi (Vincent Bufano) heads out to pick up pizza for the team, with the instruction from Eischied that P.C. loves anchovies and the thick Sicilian type pie. After Detective Wright leaves the office, P.C. hops back on the desk for scritches from Eischied, who tells his cat that they’re going to have anchovy pizza!
