Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A reclusive woman is afraid to face the world despite encouragement from her cat.
Cartoon Cat: Eleanor works in a church and lives in an adjacent cottage with her adorable white cat.
She sweeps up the rice from the floor after weddings (no doubt this was inspired by the Beatles song Eleanor Rigby) as her cat runs around.
But Eleanor won’t step outside the doors. She has agoraphobia and depression, a crippling duo of social disorders which makes the world a terrifying place.
Sadly she slips further and further into her seclusion. The cat tries to encourage her and is her constant comfort.
We won’t tell you what happens. This is a very short, sweet film that really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
Final Mewsings: Cats sometimes know what’s best for us even when we don’t.
