Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: When Robert (Brad Garrett) decides he is going to propose to Amy (Monica Horan) he goes through the formality of asking her parents for her hand and is dumbfounded when they say no.
Featured Feline: Robert proposes to Amy anyway and she accepts, then asks him to ask her parents. Robert takes Raymond (Ray Romano) with him to try once again to pursuade her parents to accept him. But Amy’s brother Peter (Chris Elliott), who made it quite clear the first time Robert visited the house that he didn’t like him, shows up to sabotage their efforts. This time he is carrying an orange tabby cat he calls Miss Puss.
Miss Puss remains in Peter’s arms throughout the scene. The highlight is when Peter tells Raymond that he thinks Miss Puss has a kiss for him.
Peter goes on to shock his parents with information about Robert’s brief Italian girlfriend, his former marriage and his sexual relations with Amy.
Robert’s hopes completely in a shamble, Peter excuses himself and Miss Puss as they have cocoa on the stove.
Final Mewsings: Cats are often witness to some pretty catty human behavior.
