Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains a spoiler for this film!
Synopsis: A few days in the life of Jake (Blake Jenner), a college baseball freshman who becomes acquainted with his team and gets a view of what his new life will be like.
Purr Blur: In one scene Jake and the team go to a party at a house of theater students. As they settle into the artistic and unusual surroundings, Plummer (Temple Baker) goes into the kitchen and opens the refrigerator looking for a beer. He’s surprised when an orange tabby cat jumps out.
“Cats shouldn’t be in refrigerators,” he comments as he walks away.
Funnily enough the credits list Bernie Tiede as the cat wrangler. Bernie was the subject of Richard Linklater’s film entitled Bernie about a real-life murderer who stored a body in a freezer. According to the American Humane Association, the cat was only in the closed refrigerator for 43 seconds before being let out.
Final Mewsings: Thank goodness Plummer wanted a beer!
