Everybody Wants to be Italian (2007)

Synopsis: A comedy of errors finds fish store worker Jake Bianski (Jay Jablonski) being cajoled into a relationship with Marisa (Cerina Vincent), each pretending to be Italian thinking the other is Italian.

Kitty Cameo: Marisa is looking for her cat Miles behind the fish store when she meets Jake’s friend Steve (John Kapelos). They spot her wayward long-haired calico beneath a dumpster.

Steve gets a fish head to lure the cat out. As they wait, he starts to question Marisa’s status to see if she might be a good match for Jake. Finding out she is single, he runs back into the store. Miles comes out from beneath the dumpster to get the fish and Marisa scoops him up but not before Steve returns with his co-worker Gianluca (John Enos III).

Marisa is confused as they survey her like a piece of meat until they finally explain it is for their friend. Strangely enough Miles the cat is not seen again after this.

Poor Cat: Later in a veterinarian’s office, cat meows and a poor cat screech can be heard even though no cats are seen.

Final Mewsings: What is it with cats in movies who are just forgotten?
