Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Special effects wizard Rollie Tyler (Bryan Brown) is called upon by the police once again to help with a case, but when things go bad he must team up with Leo McCarthy (Brian Dennehy) one more time to discover the truth.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Well into the film Leo visits Assistant D.A. Liz Kennedy (Joanna Gleason) to ask for her help. As he sits on her couch, a black Cornish Rex cat appears. Leo asks Liz what is wrong with her cat and when she explains the breed he says, “Are you telling me they look like this on purpose?”
Leo picks up the cat and holds her in his lap. “Looks like a big rat,” he comments.
As he’s holding her, he seems to notice something but doesn’t say anything. In the end it turns out the name on the cat’s collar, Samson, is a big clue.
Final Mewsings: The cat was too polite to say what she thought Leo looked like.
