Synopsis: When Cuban political prisoner Nestor (Jimmy Smits) is released and sent to Miami he is finally able to reunite with his wife Isabel (Greta Scacchi) and daughter who escaped on a raft years before. But when Nestor shows interest in continuing his fight against the Cuban regime he may be sacrificing a lot more than his freedom.
Kitty Cameo: Isabel was rescued at sea by Sam (Vincent D’Onofrio) whom she ended up having relations with while Nestor was in prison. This causes complications when Nestor finds out about their relationship. Sam returns to his boat where a tuxedo cat is eating from a bowl and Nestor is waiting to confront him.

Sam quietly picks up the cat and deposits him or her outside before saying a word to Nestor.

Final Mewsings: Cats don’t need to hear harsh words between angry people.
