Synopsis: This dramatisation of the contribution made by the Air Sea Rescue service to the war effort blends real footage with a story of an RAF officer who wishes to fly but has been grounded and posted to the RAF Air Sea Rescue operating in the English Channel. His boat is out in all conditions picking up downed pilots, often under enemy fire, and taking them to safety.
Purr Blur: At one point there is a series of shots showing the port of Newhaven coming to life in the morning: a milkman delivering pints, a woman scrubbing her front doorstep, along with footage of sailors preparing their vessels ready for action, including two sailors swabbing the deck of their boat as a tabby kitten scrambles up out of the soapy water’s way.

The kitten was clearly a landlubber as the majority of the action takes place at sea and the kitty isn’t seen again.
Final Mewsings: The kitten was in peril of getting wet.
Many thanks to RobG for also spotting the kitten in this movie.
