Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: The setting is Greece as James Bond (Roger Moore) works to track down a sunken British spy ship which contains an important encryption device.
Cinema Cat: Our interest in this film is confined to the scenes before the opening credits when James Bond faces off for what would seem to be the last time against his perennial nemesis Ernst Stavro Blofeld. Blofeld is not seen very clearly in the sequence but his white Turkish Angora (whom we now understand is named Solomon) is seen throughout, sitting on the lap of Blofeld who is causing James Bond much grief with a radio remote controlled helicopter he is operating from a wheelchair (after suffering injuries from Bond during their last encounter).
In the end James Bond gets the better of Blofeld and sends him to his end. Thankfully Solomon is smart enough to jump out of Blofeld’s lap before Bond picks up his wheelchair and dumps it into a factory smokestack.
Final Mewsings: Maybe Solomon can work for British Intelligence now?
