Synopsis: Frasier (Kelsey Grammer) finds himself being a fifth wheel as the only single person in his family, so he agrees to a blind date arranged by Roz (Peri Gilpin) only to have someone better come along mid-date.
Featured Feline: Frasier explains to Roz that he is cat sitting for a neighbor. After a disastrous evening out with his father and Niles and their significant others, Frasier comes home to find the cat, Mr. Bottomsley, sitting on the arm of the couch.
Frasier prepares some tuna for Mr. Bottomsley and delightfully serves himself some winter soup he’s made.
Frasier then settles down on the couch with a quilt around him to keep him warm while he shares his meal with the cat.
While waiting for his soup to cool, Frasier picks up Mr. Bottomsley and walks over to an antique mirror he’s purchased.
In horror Frasier looks at his reflection in the mirror and realizes he looks like his Aunt Shirley. He quickly calls Roz to tell her to go ahead and arrange the date.
Final Mewsings: Cats . . . they’re not just for old ladies any more!
