Synopsis: Brenda Martin (Julianne Moore) walks into a clinic claiming to be the victim of a carjacking by a black man and that her four-year-old son was in the backseat.  It’s up to Detective Lorenzo Council (Samuel L. Jackson) to find out the truth.

Purr Blur: The beginning of the film shows Brenda wandering New Jersey streets after dark.  In one shot a cat crosses the screen in silhouette.

Final Mewsings: Cats can handle being on the streets at night.
