Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A poor Boy (Harold Lloyd) can’t seem to get a break when it comes to finding food or money. That is until a beautiful heiress (Mildred Davis) takes pity on him. But when she becomes the target of a kidnapping plot, the Boy does everything he can to try to help her.
Kitty Cameo: In the second half of the film, the Boy accidentally becomes involved with the kidnappers, not realizing what they are doing or who they are targeting. The Boy breaks into the Girl’s home with instructions from the kidnappers. When the Boy gets inside he sees some curtains moving and quickly hides. Peeking out he realizes it’s just a gray kitten playing with the bottom of the drapes.
The Boy walks over to the kitten and picks it up and cuddles it before carrying it to a chair.
The Boy obviously loves the kitten but when he holds it up above his head he sees a table full of food. He must be very hungry because he sets the kitten down to get some food. The kitten is not seen again.
Final Mewsings: The Girl will need the fortune she’s inheriting to buy new drapes!
