Synopsis: A mother raises her two daughters in a trailer home in the New Mexico desert and both of the girls long to escape their dreary existence.

Purr Blur: The younger daughter Shade (Fairuza Balk) goes to visit the home of Javier (Jacob Vargas). As she approaches the house, a black cat is standing in the yard.

Final Mewsings: Cats can handle life in a slow desert town.
