Synopsis: A lawyer named Arthur Welt (Frank Wolff) arrives home with a woman named Anna (Giovanna Ralli) whom he has just met, only their quiet evening is interrupted by a creepy intruder.

Featured Feline: Arthur’s father is Judge Bedell (Fernando Rey) who calls after the intruder has shown up. During their conversation we see a long haired cream-colored cat on the judge’s desk.

After the conversation, the Judge pets the cat and asks of his son, “When will that lad learn to have some sense?” He then sets the cat on the floor and we see it cross from the desk.

At the end of the film the door to the Judge’s chamber is booby trapped with a wire to set off a bomb, but he is warned in time by a constable. As the constable works to unwind the wire from the door handle, the Judge hangs on to the slightly open door, trying not to move it. Of course this is when the cat decides it wants to leave and tries to push through the door!

There are several suspenseful moments when we see the cat trying to get through the door. When it finally does, the constable has managed to free the wire.

Bonus Kitty: The DVD version we watched included an intro by Eileen Daly originally filmed for Bravo UK in which she introduces the film as her Redemption TV character Dark Angel along with a cat companion named Matuse ” . . . whose IQ is greater than the combined brain power of eight social workers.”
