Synopsis: Madeline Matheson (Jordan Ladd) insists on carrying and delivering her baby, even though it is dead inside her. But when the baby named Grace is born she comes back to life and demands more than her mother expects.

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Madeline and her husband Michael (Stephen Park) own a black cat named Jonesy.

Madeline is frustrated when Jonesy brings her a dead rat. Michael points out that Madeline’s vegetarian diet has something to do with it.

Madeline is visited by her former lover Patricia (Samantha Ferris) who is happy to see Dr. Jones. Patricia is a natural birth advocate who helps bring Grace into the world under odd circumstances.

Unfortunately Grace’s demand on Madeline’s time (among other things) leaves her neglecting Jonesy, whose litter box is overflowing. Jonesy reciprocates by leaving nasty stuff in Grace’s crib.

Jonesy previously belonged to Madeline and Patricia when they were a couple before Madeline married Michael. In her office, Patricia looks at a photo of herself and Madeline with Jonesy as a kitten.

As Grace becomes more demanding, Jonesy spends time outside the house.

Michael’s mother Vivian (Gabrielle Rose) demands to see the baby but is kept away. When she finally manages to get into the house and notes the strange goings on in the baby’s room, Jonesy hisses at Vivian and even takes a swipe at her. Vivian eyes an axe and we hear a thump. It would seem the end has come for the cat.

But not this time! At the end of the film, Patricia, Madeline and Grace are in a camper van with Jonesy, heading out to start their new lives. Patricia gives Jonesy some canned cat food.
