Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Mother and daughter team Angela (Sigourney Weaver) and Wendy (Jennifer Love Hewitt) pull scams on rich men for money but with Wendy getting older she longs for independence which her mother is not yet ready to grant.
Kitty Cameo: An orange tabby cat has a very brief scene in this film. The cat is sitting in front of the house of the elderly and rich William B. Tensy (Gene Hackman).
As Tensy exits his house he yells at the cat and swings his cane, scaring the cat away. Our good friend Nick Wale informs us that on the DVD commentary the “cat kicking” scene was Gene Hackman’s idea and that the cat was scared of his salmon-colored pants.
Final Mewsings: Cats usually like salmon!
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about this movie and for the additional information!
