Synopsis: The lonely Princess Veronica (Hedy Lamarr) stays at a New York hotel and befriends bellboy Jimmy Dobson (Robert Walker) who begins neglecting his girlfriend Leslie (June Allyson).

Purr Blur: Leslie is bedridden and cannot walk, so in one scene Jimmy’s friend Carl (Rags Ragland) carries her upstairs to the roof in the evening to get some air.  There is a lounge chair on the roof where a large gray long-haired cat is sitting.  Jimmy accompanies them and scoots the cat off the chair, saying, “Excuse me, madam, this place is reserved.”
