Synopsis: The residents of a small village seem to be slipping ever closer to insanity when the foreman of a famous Ruby Glass factory dies taking the secret of the glass’ creation with him.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Not helping the situation is the constant predictions from cattle herder Hias (Josef Bierbichler) whose prophecies are mostly of the doom and gloom variety. He predicts the death of Ascherl (Sepp Müller) and the fact that his antagonistic best friend Wudy (Volker Prechtel) will sleep off his hangover on top of Ascherl’s body. Sure enough the simple and mostly mute Paulin (Brunhilde Klöckner) discovers the pair in just such a situation in a barn. A tabby cat has also discovered the prone figures and stands staring in disbelief.
The cat scurries a short distance away then stops and stares again.
The talented cat scurries as far as the barn door and again gives an incredulous look to the men lying on the floor. Fortunately the cat is long gone by the time Paulin decides to scream.
Final Mewsings: Cats will never understand humans.
