Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Optimistic and naive teacher Richard Clark (Jon Lovitz) has a lot to learn in his new job as a history instructor for an inner-city school.
Kitty Cameo: After administrator Victoria Chapell (Tia Carrere) is attacked in school, she and Richard go back to her place. He is tending to her sore head while they sit on her bed. A white cat is sitting behind them.
The cat is still there when Richard accidentally hits Victoria with a desk drawer, knocking her out.
Richard tries to loosen Victoria’s bra while she is unconscious (to help her breath, you see). The cat looks at him strangely and then meows.
The cat is not seen again but at the end of the scene Richard and Victoria start to make out in the dark. Or try to, anyway, as Richard seems to keep somehow missing her. The cat then screeches, indicating Richard was putting the moves on the wrong one.
Final Mewsings: Cats aren’t interested in relationships with history teachers.
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this movie!
