Hal Roach Studios
Starring: Mickey Daniels, Allen ‘Farina’ Hoskins
Directed by: Robert F. McGowan
Synopsis: Mickey is happy living with his poor Uncle Patrick but Mickey’s Aunt Kate thinks high society would suit him better and so brings him to her mansion which the Our Gang kids eventually demolish.
Kitty Cameo: When Mickey’s Uncle Pat brings the Gang to the mansion to visit, he allows them to run wild, tearing up the place in their free-spirited search for fun. Some of the kids get into a major pillow fight and feathers go flying everywhere. For some reason a cat (which has not even been in the short until now) is seen covered with feathers exiting a closet in the room next to the play fighting. It’s not clear how the cat got covered with feathers or why it was in the closet.
The cat tries to shake some of the feathers off its paws as it walks across the room. Later Farina enters and hides in the closet but the cat is not seen again.
Final Mewsings: Cats should not be one of our fine feathered friends.
