Synopsis: A teenaged girl named Ruth (Jessica Barden) reluctantly works with an illegal scrapping crew to pay for a college education, even though she doubts the benefits an education will give her.

Kitty Cameos: Cats are seen in a few establishing shots. One has a bicolor tabby and white cat struggling to walk along a white picket fence, possibly meant to be a metaphor for the difficulty in trying to achieve the classic American dream.

A gray and white cat is shown in two different shots at the junkyard where Ruth begins working.

Final Mewsings: Cats are great for connecting scenes.
