Synopsis: While Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) and Dr. Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein) battle an unknown illness on their flight back from a conference in Singapore, Dr. James Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) and the hospital staff try to discover the cause of sudden seizures in older patient Fran (Jenny O’Hara).
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): The episode begins in Fran’s house where she has several cat figurines.
A woman named Robin (Meta Golding) arrives and it is soon established that she is a hooker who is being hired by Fran for some intimate fun. When Fran goes to her bedroom to get the money to pay Robin she notes that her pet ginger and white tabby cat Harrington is sitting on her dresser instead of resting in his cat bed on the floor.
Robin enters the room wearing a slinky dress and Fran passes out. Robin stands, not sure what to do, as Harrington watches.
In a later scene, Dr. Robert Chase (Jesse Spencer) and Dr. Allison Cameron (Jennifer Morrison) arrive at Fran’s home in order to search for potential toxins. Harrington is still sitting on the dresser and Dr. Chase suggests feeding the cat, but Dr. Cameron notes the kitty’s food bowl is full.
Quite shockingly, the doctors decide to have sex on Fran’s bed, even though Dr. Chase is wary of the cat Harrington watching them.
Kitty Carnage Warning! Closer to the end of the episode Dr. Chase realizes that Fran’s lack of appetite and the cat not eating his food are connected and so he returns to the house where he finds Harrington deceased upon the dresser. The cause turns out to be toxic gas seeping through an aged pipe from the neighbor’s home which is being fumigated.
Final Mewsings: If a cat’s bowl is full you know something is likely wrong!
