Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Dr. Franz Edlemann (Onslow Stevens) is such a renowned physician that Dracula (John Carradine) and the Wolf Man (Lon Chaney Jr.) seek his help for a cure to their curses. Oh, and Frankenstein drops in as well.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): At the beginning of the movie Dracula arrives at the home of Dr. Edlemann and shows himself in. The doctor is sleeping in a chair with a gray tabby cat at his side.
The tabby cat spots Dracula and hisses at the vampire then runs away.
Later in the film Dr. Edlemann has become infected with Dracula’s blood and changes into a mad monster. His cat doesn’t react well to the transmutation and hisses from a chair before running away.
Still later the doctor undergoes the change of personality again. And once again the cat is on hand to witness it, hiss and run out the window. This time the doctor throws a book at the cat just after the exit.
Final Mewsings: Can’t a cat just get a little peace and quiet?
