Synopsis: The story of a boy named Olof Persson (Eddie Axberg) who is coming of age and trying to find his place in the world in rural Sweden at the time of the first World War.

Kitty Cameos: Olof takes a number of different jobs throughout the film and at one point he is working with a blacksmith and staying with the man’s family. As he eats with them in one scene we see a girl named Maja (Catti Edfeldt) holding a tabby cat.

Olof also encounters a woman named Olivia (Ulla Sjöblom) who runs a carnival shooting gallery. He stays with her a while and she has a black cat which is seen several times. First the cat is seen lying on the bed with Olof.

Olof is playing with the cat’s tail. Not surprisingly the cat gets up and jumps off the bed.

Later Olof is awakened and looks up to see a window is open and banging slightly. The black cat is sitting on a table and looks at him.

In another scene, the cat is on a table between Olivia and Olof.

The camera pans back and forth between the three. Olivia pets the cat, which then turns and walks away. The cat then jumps off the table on Olof’s side.
