Synopsis: A troubled boy named Ricky (Julian Dennison) in the New Zealand foster system is taken in by married couple Bella (Rima Te Wiata) and Hec (Sam Neill) but when tragedy occurs Ricky and Hec take to the bush and become the subjects of a manhunt.

Purr Blur: At one point Ricky ends up in the home of a teenaged girl named Kahu (Tioreore Ngatai-Melbourne). A ginger tabby cat jumps down from a couch while the two kids are talking.

Final Mewsings: Even the most insignificant cat in a movie adds something to the experience.
