Harold is embarrassed by his brother’s free-love spirit but becomes intrigued with a young flower child named Nancy (Leigh Taylor-Young), so much so that he throws off all of the conventions of his stodgy world and dives headfirst into a marijuana-laced lifestyle.
Kitty Cameo: When his apartment becomes infiltrated with countless hippies, Harold become disillusioned with Nancy and his situation. His home is literally strewn with an odd assortment of druggies, drop outs and animals, including a parrot, a monkey and two dogs. Later when his mother arrives she storms through the place trying to pick up after the deadbeats and is shocked to find the cat in the kitchen.
