Synopsis: An epic silent picture which spans three different time periods to tell the story of intolerance between humans through love, war and greed.

Purr Blurs: The modern day tale is about a girl known as The Dear One (Mae Marsh) and The Boy (Robert Harron) whom she later meets.  In the establishing scene for The Boy in their small factory town, two children are seen in the background playing with a kitten.  A little girl picks up the kitten and sets it down, then does the same again.  The little boy tries to coax the kitten to come to him.  In the end the kitten turns tail and runs away from both of them.

Later in the film when The Dear One and The Boy have both moved to the city, The Dear One wants to imitate a street walker she has seen and so she goes down to the lobby of her apartment building to practice.  As she walks down the stairs, a tiny black kitten can be seen in the background.

Final Mewsings: Kittens have intolerance for little kids who play too rough.
