Synopsis: Psychic Professor Bimbo reads Betty Boop’s future which reveals a shipwreck and some ghostly happenings on an island.

Cartoon Cat: At the start of the short Bimbo and Koko the Clown are bowing to shadow imagery of a witch and bat while a black cat sits to one side, its tail sticking through a hole in the wall.

Betty Boop arrives outside and pulls on the cat’s tail, using it as a bell pull as the cat yowls to announce her presence.

Koko looks through a peephole and informs Bimbo that it is Betty outside (not sure why he can’t just look through the window).

After taking an elevator, Betty steps through a hole in the wall cut to her specific shape. The makeshift door is held open by the cat.

Betty steps into the room and the mischievous cat turns out the lights and hits a spotlight which shows the silhouette of Betty’s shapely legs under her skirt.

Bimbo tells Betty to walk this way and she follows him away as Koko and the cat watch. The cat does not appear again after this.

Final Mewsings: Cats can be gainfully employed but prefer not to be doorbell pulls.
