Synopsis: Mike Samson (Tommy Kirk) changes his persona from jock to nerd to win over the new brainy sexy girl on the beach, Delilah (Deborah Walley).

Purr Blur: Mike pretends to be his “brother”, Herbert, and dons glasses and a nerdy outfit. As he is walking out to the beach, a tabby and white cat is sitting nearby, visible as a guy runs to retrieve a volleyball.

The cat is still there as Herbert walks out onto the sand then crosses his path. Herbert actually appears to step on the cat’s paw which makes the poor thing leap up into the air and turn. But the cat stays on the beach as Herbert walks out of frame.
