Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Vanessa (Nancy Travis) finds herself the pariah of the neighborhood after surveillance video shows her turning a hose on the local cat Tigger, while Mike (Tim Allen) is more concerned about the video invasion of privacy.
Featured Feline: The episode opens with Mike and Vanessa sitting in their back yard. Vanessa starts to sneeze and has to go inside. Seconds later an orange tabby cat appears and jumps up on the couch with Mike.
Mike tells “Garfield” that there’s no lasagna there and shooes the cat away.
After consulting with their neighbor Chuck (Jonathan Adams) they learn that Tigger was left behind when the Pettigrews moved away and that the entire neighborhood is looking out for the cat. Later in the episode, Chuck comes over and shows them video taken from across the street of their front lawn when Vanessa was trying to shoo away Tigger, who had since disappeared.
The video then shows that Vanessa turned a hose on Tigger (it would appear that the water was digitally added).
Vanessa is hated by the neighborhood for scaring away the cat, but she sees Tigger on the fence and calls for everyone to look, but they just miss seeing him.
In the end credits Vanessa is seen on the video surveillance feed getting the mail as Tigger appears on the lawn behind her.
She sees Tigger and starts chasing him back and forth across the lawn.
Finally Tigger chases her across the lawn.
Final Mewsings: Cats are resilient.
