Synopsis: The heartwarming story of a small French boy named Pascal (Pascal Lamorisse) and his unusual friendship with a beautiful and loyal red balloon.

Purr Blur: In the opening scene of this film we see a black cat sitting on the sidewalk at the top of a staircase.  The little boy, Pascal, enters the scene heading for school.

The cat steps forward to greet Pascal and the boy takes a few moments to pet the cat gently before heading down the steps.

Final Mewsings: Of course balloons love little boys who are kind to cats!
