Synopsis: A day in the life of ex-alcoholic Alain Leroy (Maurice Ronet) who is contemplating suicide.

Kitty Cameo: One of the friends upon whom Alain calls is a man named Dubourg (Bernard Noël). Dubourg is home with his family and invites Alain to stay for lunch. During lunch, Dubourg’s youngest daughter is seen feeding a gray cat at the table.

Dubourg’s wife takes the cat and sets it on the floor.

Moments later the older daughter is seen sneaking the cat some food from the table.

Final Mewsings: Cats know how to make do with the table scraps of life.
