English Title: Thor and the Amazon Women
Directed by: Antonio Leonviola
Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Thor (Joe Robinson) comes up against a fierce race of warrior women led by the beautiful but dangerous Queen Nera (Janine Hendy).
Kitty Cameo: Queen Nera has a long-haired white cat which she has on a leash beside her during the fights between the gladiator women.
Whenever the fighters look to Queen Nera to find out if their opponent is to be killed or spared, she covers the cat’s face with her hands to indicate the answer is death. Her young followers also cover their faces.
The poor cat actor is panting terribly during this first scene and appears to be very anxious.
The cat returns at the end of the film for the big battle. This time when Queen Nera sees things going wrong he throws the cat down on her throne and runs away.
Final Mewsings: If you don’t want your cat to see killing, don’t take them to gladiator fights!
Many thanks to Nick Wale for letting us know about the cat in this film and for providing the screen grabs!
