Le Grand Alibi (2008)

Directed by: Pascal Bonitzer

Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains potential spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: A French film version of Agatha Christie’s story The Hollow (sans Hercule Poirot). Senator Henri Pagès (Pierre Arditi) is found dead during a weekend when he and his wife (Miou-Miou) are entertaining numerous guests at their country home (ensuring a healthy array of suspects).

Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): A sleek blue / gray cat is a resident in the home of Marthe (Céline Sallette) who has a thing for writer Philippe (Mathieu Demy).

As such the cat is seen a few times throughout the film. We’ll refrain from saying anything more to avoid giving away too much.
