Synopsis: Wally (Tony Dow) and Beaver (Jerry Mathers) are entrusted to babysit their neighbor’s expensive show cat, Puff Puff. What could possibly go wrong?
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): The neighbor Mr. Donaldson (Ray Kellogg) drops off Puff Puff, a beautiful white Persian cat, at with Ward (Hugh Beaumont) and June (Barbara Billingsley). He insists it is his wife who dotes on the cat and treats her like a child, then admits that he talks to the cat while she eats.
Ward expresses concern about the boys being responsible enough to care for such an expensive animal as he hands Puff Puff over to them.
Wally and Beaver feed Puff Puff in the Donaldson’s home and Beaver decides to talk to her but isn’t sure what to say.
When a chance to go to the carnival with Eddie Haskell (Ken Osmond) comes up, Wally leaves Beaver to care for Puff Puff alone. Unfortunately Eddie’s dog Wolf gets into the yard where Beaver left the cat and chases her away.
The boys looks for Puff Puff with no luck. But that night they hear meowing and go into the yard to investigate. They spot Puff Puff high up in a tree.
At the urging of Wally, Beaver climbs the tree to retrieve the cat but ends up getting stuck himself!
Wally has to wake up Ward to come rescue Beaver and the boys know they are in trouble. However they confess everything to the neighbor and refuse any payment which makes their parents proud.
Final Mewsings: Puff Puff helped the boys to learn their lesson and stuff.
