Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: The Daily Planet newsroom gets crazy with love when a chemist with evil intent sprays a pheromone-laced perfume in their midst.
Kitty Cameo: Miranda (Morgan Fairchild) is the chemist and perfume maker behind the mischief. She sprays the newsroom to prove to Lex Luthor (John Shea) that her formula will bring out the beast in anyone. As she plots to do this, she is holding a black cat.
Miranda is holding the cat again when Lois Lane (Teri Hatcher) and Clark Kent (Dean Cain) visit her shop looking for the formula.
Finally Miranda is holding the cat again as she reads in the newspaper about upcoming malathion spraying scheduled in the area.
She sets the cat down as she grabs some bottles of her perfume. As she is pouring them into a larger container some spills onto the counter and the cat laps it up.
Miranda stops the cat and locks it into a cage. A moment later there is a loud bang and the carrier’s wire door has a big hole in it, indicating the formula made the cat go crazy and burst out. “Oh, that will do nicely,” Miranda comments.
Final Mewsings: Cats already have enough pheromones as it is!
Many thanks to Ted Davis for letting us know about the cat in this episode!
