Synopsis: One of the classic Look at Life series of shorts. This entry takes a look at the various lives of British pups from pampered pooches to working and service dogs.
Reality Cat: The introductory dog is a wire fox terrier who is window shopping on Regent Street with his or her female owner. After pointing out how being surrounded by a sea of legs gets tiresome, the narrator says, “You’d even welcome a chat with a cat!” as a black cat with white face and feet is presented standing in a doorway.

In the next shot the terrier approaches the doorway and the cat beats a hasty retreat inside, its eyes glowing within the darkness. “If you could get a chat with a cat,” the narrator adds.

Final Mewsings: Cats have no interest in chatting with dogs!
Many thanks to Mark Murton for letting us know about the cat in this short film.
