Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains a small spoiler for this film!
Synopsis: When Sir Karell Borotin (Holmes Herbert) is found murdered with puncture wounds on his neck, the superstitious townspeople assume it was due to vampires. One year later the late Sir Karell’s daughter, Irena (Elizabeth Allan) returns to the town with her fiancé Fedor (Henry Wadsworth) and the two find themselves the vampire’s next targets. But vampire expert Professor Zelen (Lionel Barrymore) will do everything he can to solve the real mystery at hand.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): After Sir Karell is murdered, Dr. Doskil (Donald Meek) scoffs at the inspector’s disbelief that the act was perpetrated by supernatural forces. The butler (Ivan F. Simpson) notices the visor on a nearby suit of armor moving of its own accord and the two are terrified until a calico cat emerges.
The butler helps the cat down with a sigh of relief before setting her aside.
