Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Angela de Marco (Michelle Pfeiffer) is relieved when she finds herself a widow after her mobster husband (Alec Baldwin) is killed but she learns that cutting ties with the mob isn’t an easy thing to do.
Cat Cattle Call: An FBI agent named Mike Downey (Matthew Modine) has been tailing the mob boss for some time. In one scene he is shown being awakened by a phone call. He is lying in bed with an orange and white cat.
Downey has his clothes all hung up ready for him to jump into. After getting dressed he walks to the other room and flips a switch on an automatic cat feeder, a contraption which drops an amount of food down into four bowls. Four cats come out to eat, although three of them crowd around one dish.
Later when Downey is doing surveillence on Angela with his partner Ed (Oliver Platt) he has the orange and white cat with him. The cats are not seen again after this.
Final Mewsings: Cats make stakeouts tolerable.
