Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: Based on the book by Berkeley Breathed. A boy named Milo (acted by Seth Green and voiced by Seth Dusky) is frustrated with his mother (voiced by Joan Cusack) but rushes to her rescue when she is abducted by Martians.
Cartoon Cat: Early in the film Milo’s mom promises he can watch a pay-per-view zombie movie if he eats all of his dinner. He doesn’t want to eat his broccoli but his mom insists. Milo then spots the family’s tuxedo cat, Cujo.
Milo scrapes his broccoli into Cujo’s dish.
As he sits down to watch his movie, Milo hears a sound and turns to see Cujo hacking up the broccoli behind a potted plant. When Milo’s mom sees the contents the cat has puked she sends Milo to bed.
Milo keeps acting up, causing his mom to scold him further until he says he wishes he didn’t have a mom. She leaves the room, upset. Later Milo starts to feel guilty and sits up to talk to Cujo.
Milo tells Cujo he is going to apologize to his mom. But will he be too late?
Final Mewsings: Why would aliens want to abduct moms and not cats?
