Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Mary Harris (Caroline Dhavernas) and her assistant Des (Richard Short) come close to having their sideline of offering euthanasia to terminally ill people found out when Mary’s stash of lethal drugs is accidentally found by a family member.
Kitty Cameo: In an early scene Mary is sitting with her two daughters Jess (Abigail Winter) and Cambie (Lola Flanery) as they eat Mexican fast food. Cambie is holding their tabby cat Casper on her lap and feeding him some food.
Casper remains in Cambie’s lap until the girls jump up and run to their father when he enters. Casper is still sitting by the couch but then disappears in the next shot.
Near the end of the episode Mary has to take Casper over to Des’ place because she had to explain to Jess that the deadly drug she had hidden in the shed was something she brought home to put Casper down, telling them he has cancer. She has to obviously hide the cat from the girls but at this point it’s unclear what will happen to Casper. Casper is played by cat actor Grace.
Final Mewsings: Cats don’t like having their lives disrupted to provide alibis.
