Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Barely competent Assistant District Attorney / single mom Katie Clark (Jane Dibbett) relocates to Atlanta with her repellent brood and, on her first case, ignores a blatant conflict of interest to prosecute a murder case against rough-hewn former lover Jack Gibson (Josh Taylor). Adding to her stress is the fact that her opponent is that foxy and seasoned veteran of courtroom shenanigans, defense attorney Ben Matlock (Andy Griffith).
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): During the drive from Chattanooga, Tennessee to Atlanta, Georgia, Katie’s obnoxious daughter Molly (Amanda Minikus) holds the unfortunate Misty, a pretty but forlorn long-haired brown tabby cat, on her lap.
At a motel on the way to Atlanta, Misty makes a desperate break for freedom, but is recaptured by the irritating Molly and her even more obnoxious brother Kevin (Philip Boyne).
During a Clark family discussion at the kitchen table, Misty is on the sink counter, wisely keeping a distance from her human captors, and is probably plotting her next bid for liberty.
As Katie vainly attempts to clean her dirty son Kevin in the family bathtub, daughter Molly holds the pathetically complaining Misty in the doorway.
Final Mewsings: In a just world, Misty would have escaped the clutches of the malevolent tykes and found a good home.
