Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!

Synopsis: May (Angela Bettis) is an awkward girl who admires perfection in people’s body parts and sets out to obtain them when relationships don’t work out.

Kitty Cameo: May works in a veterinarian office. Her co-worker, Polly (Anna Faris) mentions that the doctor asked May to perform a fecal exam on Miss Kitty. Miss Kitty turns out to be a longhair calico who sits nervously in a carrier while May puts on her latex gloves.

Polly explains to May that she has to get rid of Lupe because of her landlord and she asks if May will take her. May agrees.

We don’t see much of Lupe until May takes her to the laundromat one time. When Adam (Jeremy Sisto), the boy with perfect hands May likes, enters she introduces him to Lupe. Adam is trying to avoid May and pretends the washing machine he is trying to use is broken then beats a hasty retreat.

May has an affair with Polly but is crushed when she catches Polly with another woman named Ambrosia (Nichole Hiltz). Going home to cry, May calls to Lupe for support. But Lupe is acting aloof.

Kitty Carnage Warnings! Furiously, May picks up an ashtray and lobs it at Lupe who is standing just inside the bathroom. Lupe is killed instantly. But this isn’t the last of Lupe, as May keeps her body around and eventually sticks her in the freezer. The cat’s body also plays a part in the final moments. There is also a scene in which a cat is seen being operated upon. The filmmakers state at the end of the credits that no animals were hurt and that fake or taxidermy animals were used in these scenes.
