Synopsis: A teenaged girl named Mouchette (Nadine Nortier) suffers indignity at the hands of her family and neighbors.

Kitty Cameo: Near the end of the movie, Mouchette is called into the home of an elderly, death-obsessed rich woman who condescends to Mouchette and offer mourning clothes and a shroud. As the woman approaches her bed, a tabby cat is crouched there.
