Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: The Douglas family is put out when new neighbors move in across the street that none of them can stand.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): After seeing the new neighbors moving in, Chip (Stanley Livingston) goes out to investigate with the family dog, Tramp. Chip greets a boy named Tommy (Michael Flatley) sitting on the curb across the street with a ginger tabby cat in his lap.
Tommy asks Chip if Tramp is his dog and Chip asks if the cat is Tommy’s. After this is established, Tommy stands up and says, “Tell your dog not to come on our side of the street. ‘Cause my cat’ll beat him up!”
“My dog’s not afraid of cats!” Chip insists. Tramp starts across the street and barks at the cat, but the kitty’s icy stare sends him whelping back to Chip.
Tramp tries again but this time the cat screeches at him (obviously dubbed in since the cat’s mouth doesn’t move and the cat is completely calm) and he runs away again. “Boy, some dog!” Tommy scoffs.
This is a prominent member of the Orangey team appearing in this episode, the same one who made such notable appearances in The Misadventures of Merlin Jones and Under the Yum Yum Tree.
Final Mewsings: Nobody messes with Orangey!
