Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: Everyone is excited about Steve (Fred MacMurray) and Katie’s (Tina Cole) impending marriage, all except for Katie’s daughter Dodie (Dawn Lyn) who doesn’t want a new father.
Cat Burglar (Scene Stealer): Steve tries to get closer to Dodie by spending a day with her. After the zoo he takes her to a movie, only it is a Saturday matinee full of rowdy kids. Dodie is not too impressed. A boy then stands up behind Steve and asks if he can hold something. “He’s not supposed to be in here,” the boy explains as he hands Steve a tiny ginger tabby kitten.
The boy promises to be right back and hurries away. Steve is left holding the kitten, which Dodie tries to pet, as kids push past them and a boy stands up and throws popcorn across the theater.
Final Mewsings: Kittens would prefer kitty matinees to kiddy matinees.
