Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains spoilers for this episode!
Synopsis: A cat named Noel (voiced by Kath Soucie) is at odds with the new neighbor’s dog Nick (voiced by Jerry Houser) but they eventually come together to try to deliver a little girl’s letter to Santa in this animated holiday special.
Cartoon Cat: Noel lives in a duplex with a little girl named Sarah (voiced by Anndi McAfee) and her writer father Howard (voiced by Mark L. Taylor).
When a singer named Leslie (voiced by Lorna Patterson) moves in to the other half of the home with her dog, their constant singing sets everyone on edge. Nick and Noel are immediately at odds.
Sarah only wants a new mother for Christmas but her father forgets to mail her letter to Santa. Noel asks the house mouse Barnaby (voiced by Paul Williams) for help and he suggests asking Nick, who is world traveled.
Noel asks Nick for help and Nick finally agrees, explaining that the North Pole is at the end of North Street.
Nick and Noel set out to find Santa and help Sarah get a mother for Christmas.
After many adventures it’s questionable whether or not the pair will get home in time for the holidays.
As it turns out, everything everyone was looking for was right there from the beginning.
Final Mewsings: Christmas is a time for everyone, even cats and dogs, to get along.
