Miramax
Starring: Josh Brolin, Javier Bardem, Tommy Lee Jones
Directed by: Ethan Coen, Joel Coen
Synopsis: Llewelyn Moss (Josh Brolin) finds himself on the run from a maniacal killer (Javier Barden) after coming across a drug deal gone haywire and taking the money for himself.
Kitty Cameo: At one point in the film Llewelyn checks into a hotel. As he stands beside the registration desk he looks down and sees an orange tabby cat lapping milk from a red cup on the floor.
Later, when Llewelyn hears someone trying to break into his room he jumps out of the window and re-enters the hotel. He sees the cat still on the floor in the lobby but this time the cup has been knocked over and he is lapping up the spilt milk from the floor.
Update! Cat Cattle Call: Cinema Cats follower T.J. reminded us about the scene near the end of the film in which Sheriff Ed Tom Bell (Tommy Lee Jones) goes to visit his Uncle Ellis (Barry Corbin), a retired lawman, and discusses his feelings of being overmatched. Uncle Ellis’ home is filled with cats.
Uncle Ellis describes the cats as being either half wild or outlaws and doesn’t know exactly how many there are.
Final Mewsings: Killer or no killer a cat’s gotta eat!
