Synopsis: The classic silent horror masterpiece based on the novel Dracula. A man named Hutter (Gustav von Wangenheim) is sent to Transylvania to arrange a real estate deal but finds himself the victim of the dreaded Count Orlock (Max Schreck), a vampire determined to move to Hutter’s hometown and to also move in on Hutter’s wife, Ellen (Greta Schröder).
Kitty Cameo: In the beginning of the movie when we first see Hutter’s wife, Ellen, she is playing with a tabby cat on a windowsill, dangling a ball on a string in front of it.
Ellen then picks up the cat and brings it inside, hugging it before setting it down on the floor. The cat is not seen again in the film.
Final Mewsings: Cats know better than to stick around when a vampire move next door.
