Cat Out of the Bag Alert! This review contains some spoilers for this film!
Synopsis: A group of female friends get together and recall the summer of 1970 which changed their lives.
Kitty Cameos: One of the girls is named Teeny (Thora Birch). She is an only child who is mostly ignored by her parents. She owns a white cat whose name is never mentioned.
The cat is seen several times, once in bed with Teeny.
And again as the camera pans from a party Teeny’s parents are throwing downstairs past Teeny’s bedroom window where the cat is sitting before continuing up to the roof where Teeny is sitting.
Later in the film the girls go to visit Samantha’s Grandma Albertson (Cloris Leachman). When she greets them at the door she is clumsily carrying a ginger cat under her arm. She awkwardly drops the cat outside before going back in.
And finally while the girls are searching Grandma Albertson’s attic a picture is seen of a man holding a black cat.
The animal actors were provided by Birds and Animals, Unlimited with Mark A. Echevarria listed as wrangler.
Final Mewsings: Cats are a big part of our lives and memories.
